Teluk Hijau Beach (Green Bay Beach), a hidden paradise in Indonesia

Teluk Hijau Beach or known as Green Bay is located in Krajan Hamlet, Sarongan, Pesanggaran, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java Province, its location is in the Meru Betiri National Park area.

Teluk Hijau Beach is relatively safe for swimming. The waves are not too dangerous but you still have to be careful. What's even more interesting is that in the same place there is Batu beach. That's right, this beach is called Batu because the coastline is not covered with soft white sand, but is almost entirely covered with clean rocks. The arrangement of the rocks on Batu Beach seems to have been arranged neatly. In fact, these rocks are arranged naturally. The distance between Teluk Hijau beach and Batu Beach is only 300 meters apart.

It's just that the existence of Teluk Hijau is very hidden. Even to the east and west of Teluk Hijau beach, there are high corals, making access difficult if you walk along the beach. The access that is usually used as a passage to Teluk Hijau Beach is a small forest at the end of the Batu Beach trail.

The beauty of Teluk Hijau Beach is not enough to enjoy in one day. If you are planning to set up a tent, it is best to coordinate first with the management at Rajegwesi. The Teluk Hijau area is an area in the Meru Betiri National Park. It is feared that visitors will encounter wild animals while walking to the beach. So, it's best to coordinate first with Meru Betiri National Park officials.

One of the highlights is the charm of the natural beach with its charming waterfall. The existence of a natural waterfall on Teluk Hijau Beach is what makes Teluk Hijau Beach even more special. The location of the waterfall is not too far from Teluk Hijau Beach, only about 21 meters. Enjoying the beauty of the waterfall is most appropriate during the rainy season, because during the rainy season the river water level is rising. However, this does not make road access any easier. During the rainy season, road access will become more challenging because it is slippery.

There are two alternative routes that can be taken to get to Teluk Hijau. First, you can follow the road towards Rajegwesi beach. The road that must be taken to Teluk Hijau is in the same direction as the road to Rajegwesi beach. However, there are no means of transportation such as buses or public transportation to that area.

So, it's best to use a private vehicle or rent a vehicle. After arriving at Rajegwesi beach, visitors can ride a boat to reach Teluk Hijau Beach.

The second alternative is to follow the one-way road to Sukamade beach. Usually, visitors only stop temporarily near Teluk Hijau Beach. Not on the beach, but behind the hill at Teluk Hijau Beach. So, visitors can go together with a group who want to go to Sukamade beach. You get off at the stop then walk towards Teluk Hijau. To make searching easier, the location of Green Bay has been marked on Google Maps
